Business Development Research Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Conduct in-depth market and industry research to identify potential customers that align with Wingcopter’s business strategy, using platforms like LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Apollo, trade registries, and industry directories.
  • Build, organize, and maintain comprehensive lead lists while proactively gathering intelligence from public sources, news outlets, and event attendee lists.
  • Plan and execute cold outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and phone to engage targeted prospects, tailoring messaging to match industry and company profiles; collaborate with the Marketing Team to align strategies and tools.
  • Track and manage all outreach activities systematically using the CRM, ensuring data accuracy and activity transparency across teams.
  • Conduct introductory calls with prospects to assess interest, identify needs, and evaluate customer fit; summarize findings in concise pre-qualification reports stored in the CRM.
  • Ensure qualified leads are smoothly and promptly handed over to the Senior Sales Managers for further engagement and deal closure.
  • Identify relevant trade shows, congresses, and industry events for potential participation; attend selected events to support lead generation and follow up with new contacts to drive conversion opportunities.
  • Play a key role in maintaining a steady pipeline of high-quality leads to support the company’s sales and revenue growth objectives.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or related fields; candidates with transferable skills from areas such as market research, recruiting, partnerships, or event marketing are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong research and prospecting abilities, with the capability to identify and target relevant leads effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for cold outreach and introductory conversations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and persistent in following up and nurturing leads.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple outreach activities concurrently.
  • Comfortable conducting outreach through LinkedIn, phone, and email channels.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead database tools is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German or French is a plus.
